With all the advances of AI in recent years there are now natural language processing tools, such as ChatGPT, that can be used to create AI content. The question that usually gets asked is, does this mean that your marketing content can be automated and make your marketing team defunct?
The simple answer is no, while it does sound great to us using AI to create marketing content it is still no replacement for the human touch. Using AI is best when combined with more traditional methods, and never forget to use the 4 P’s! Promotion, Product, Price and Place.
What do we mean by AI content?
Systems such as ChatGPT use a chatbot-style interface to answer questions and provide you with information which can then be used to write simple or complete content. These tools have access to a massive data source of information to pull in different language and writing styles, these can be used to write anything from emails to blog posts.
Does AI Content replace your current marketing roles?
In simple terms, no it doesn’t. While these tools are very useful there is no substitute for an experienced marketing professional. You will still get decent content by using AI software, but it will always be generic and very basic, nothing that will compare to a traditional marketing team.
In general, it is best used to produce the marketing material and then get a member of your team or a professional to read through it and reword the marketing before it’s used. This will help create a more bespoke and personalised marketing post but will also allow you to make sure there are no errors in wording or the information.
