It is estimated about 4,000 UK customers could have received tax statements between 2021 and 2025 that contained incorrect figures meaning to much or too little tax may have been paid. Wise are issuing corrected statements to affected customers which should be checked against the originals to identify any problems. Wise has said that those affected will be compensated but no detail yet and there is the matter of possibly having to amend an earlier tax return with HM Revenue & Customs.
